Designing with Acrylic

Supplies:  Album (Clear Scraps), Paper (American Crafts), Transparency (Hambly), Stamps (myStamp BOX), Letters (Websters Pages), Trim (Prima), Flower (Petaloo), V2 Vellum Adhesive (Helmar)

---------------------------------
Dear Lizzy Adhesive Fabric Papers and Acrylic are a match made in heaven!!!
Seriously.  It could not be any easier or quicker than that to decorate acrylic!
------------------------

This album is 4 inches wide by over 9 inches long.  Because of the length, I decided to put a baby photo of my girls on each of the first three interior pages. I also arranged the photos so that they show through the previous page making it easy to compare just how much the girls looked alike as infants.

When I build mini albums using acrylic, I like to allow elements from previous pages to show through to the next.  If you look across the top, you will see how I've built the journaling using several pages.  Looking across the bottom, you can see how the baby pictures all line up on the first page.

Today's Design Tip:

Run your acrylic shapes through an embossing machine to give them some texture.  Notice the frame around my photo on the cover. I used the Swiss Dot embossing plate to get the raised dots.  For more interest, try sanding the raised areas.

The Dangle:  Because no album seems complete without a dangle of some sort, I added another Clear Scraps shape to the binding ring complete with a matching flower and some journaling around the perimeter.

For a more thorough discussion on working with acrylic and using stamps to journal, join me on the myStamp BOX blog today.

Don't forget to check back here on the 15th for a fun summer time blog hop.

See you then.
