Happy Day

It's been much too long since I posted a card so I took advantage of some quiet time this afternoon and made two.  Today's card is based on sketch 57 by Card Patterns.

Supplies:  Cardstock (Bazzill), Embossing Folder (Sizzix), Flowers (Imaginisce, Craft Supply Store), Card Base (Craft Supply Store), Leaves (Prima), Tulle (JoAnn Fabrics), Stamp (myStamp BOX), Adhesive (Helmar)

I used Craft Glue by Helmar for this card and I have to say I am a convert.  The glue adhered a bulky card front to a shiny card base and took almost no time to adhere.  In the past, I would have used glue dots to adhere the flower but not anymore.  I LOVE how the Craft Glue has such a strong hold on so many different textures.  I used Liquid Scrap Dots to adhere the flower center.  These are both fantastic adhesives.

Stay tuned for another card on Friday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Do you hear what I hear?

Do you notice anything a little strange with the patterned paper?

Supplies:  Paper (Making Memories, My Little Yellow Bicycle), Letters (Jenni Bowlin, Pink Paislee, Making Memories), Flower (GCD Studios), Stamp (myStamp BOX), Pearls & Brad (Making Memories), Trim (Craft Supply Store)

Did you notice my die cut paper is upside down??  It was the only way I could make the page work and not loose the flocked swirls on the background paper.  Does it work, do you think?  Would you have noticed if I hadn't mentioned it?

The Latest Home Pedicure

This is one of those pages that I've had sitting in the queue for many months.  I finally got to it the other day.  Callie wants to scrapbook every afternoon now and since the baby sleeps at that time, we've been doing just that as often as we can.

Supplies:  Paper (Jillibean Soup, Fancy Pants, Making Memories), Die Cut Paper (Basic Grey), Trim (Prima), Pearls (Kaisercrafts), Letters (Webster's Pages, Jenni Bowlin), Cardstock (Bazzill), Punch (Fiskars, Martha Stewart)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Daphne's First Page

I started this page before the baby was born and put the finishing touches on it this week.

Supplies:  Paper (Basic Grey), Vintage Element (Melissa Fances), Crystals (Zva Creative, Prima), Letters (Webster's Pages), Stamps (myStamp Box, Inkadinkado), Lace (Craft Supply Store), Chipboard (Inque Boutique)

I covered the Melissa France vintage flowers in Stickles of various colours.

The chipboard frame was stamped with the antique writing and then embossed in clear embossing powder.  I rubbed two different ink colours on top, a teal and a light brown.  Next I used a baby wipe to blend and soften the colours.
