Valentine Hugs for You!

You can always tell when I've been at a crop as my blog is super busy for a week or so after the fact.  I made this page last Saturday and used all kinds of pretty things on this one.

I love Valentine's Day.  I always have.  So every year, I try to do all kinds of festive things with the kids.  One of the things I try to do is take a Valentine's Day photo for family members.  This year I had all but given up on it as I could not come up with an idea that I hadn't already used.  Four days before the big day, the snowman idea came to me.  The stars alligned for me that day. We had just had a snowfall the day before and had made a snowman but had yet to give him some personality.  Luckily I had all kinds of heart things around to decorate him with. It was a bright, sunny day and the photo came out great.  I think it is now my favourite of them all.  Someone really needs to start up a blog for unique holiday photo ideas because after awhile, it gets really hard to come up with something different.

"Valentine Hugs for You"

Supplies:  Die Cut Paper (Pink Paislee), Laser Cut Doily Paper (Basic Grey), Waffle Paper (Stampin' Up), Bling (Prima), Pins (Maya Roads), Metal Heart (Dollarama), Buttons (American Crafts), Twine (Michaels)

This metal heart you see here was a Dollarama find. I think there were 10 in the package.

The waffle paper was part of the Christmas release from Stampin' Up.  I had no idea what I was going to do with it when I ordered it, but it was so different and unique, I knew I had to give it a try.  It matched these papers beautifully.  You will undoubtedly be seeing this stuff again!

That's all for today.  Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to check back next week for some more snowmen!
