Totally Sweet

Supplies:  Paper (American Crafts), Lace Paper (Basic Grey), Cardstock (Bazzill), Trim (Prima), Cherries (My Little Bit of Whimsy), Letters (Jenni Bowlin), Alpha Stamps (myStamp BOX), Adhesive (Helmar)

I am so excited to finally get my hands on the Dear Lizzy paper by American Crafts.  What a sweet, sweet paper line.  I have no idea what made me pair it with the Basic Grey lace, but I'm glad I did.  I also found a new and unexpected use of my Helmar Craft Glue on this page.  Don't tell anyone, but I'm a hot glue girl.  It's all Amanda's fault, I swear.  I do agree with her, though.  There are just some things that are so bulky and heavy that they need a strong glue.  Well, since I've been using my Helmar Craft Glue, I haven't taken the glue gun out much at all.  I still can't believe that Craft Glue is holding these clay cherries on this page.  I am officially impressed!

I use Zip Dry for all the things you and Amanda use the hot glue for. ('Cause it's acid free and available at my LSS, which the Helmar is not).

Question for ya - have you used the Helmar Scrap dots (the liquid in the tube?) I tried it, and it never seemed to dry for me - even over night? I don't know what went wrong...

(awesome LO, BTW)

Hey JJ,
I have used the Scrap Dots. I didn't use them for their intended purpose though. :) I used them to seal/top paper embellishments that I had fussy cut and mounted to cardstock. I just put a then coat on top like I would have Diamond Glaze. It dried just fine and dried clear. It was kind of a cool look, too. I thought it actually dried fast than diamon glaze.

I have also used it to adhere embellishments to a page and it also dried. I have never experienced anything like you have. strange. I'll ask around and see if anyone else has had this happen.

Hey JJ - the Scrapdots should "cure" in about 10 minutes and be completely dry in about 30, depending on how much of it you use. If it NEVER fully set up, then you got a bad batch and should send it back to Helmar for a replacement. You can contact tracyw@helmarusa.com
