CHA Favs - Part 3

Tattered Angels

I have to devote a whole post to Tattered Angels today because they were hands down my most favourite part of CHA. Not only do they have an amazing product release, they also spent the show teaching people different ways to use their products with fantastic make and takes and classes. In addition to all of that, everyone in the booth wore a smile throughout the whole event and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. That made as much of an impression on me as anything else they did at the show.

Take note of butterfly on the layout on the bottom shelf. That is a stamp, a very large and beatuiful stamp. See below for details.

Tattered Angels Stamps: Pure GENIUS

You all know how much of a stamp lover I am. Well, even I didn't realize how impressed I would be with this release. First of all, the designs are elegant, intricate and totally beautiful. Check one. Second, they are HUGE. Yes, HUGE. It doesn't appear that way in this photo but trust me when I say they are large. Check two! Third, (this is where the genius part comes in and I don't throw that term around lightly), the stamps come mounted on extra thick acrylic that doubles as a mounting block. Think about that. No need to try and purchase jumbo, pricey acrylic blocks that are almost impossible to find. No need to lug around this heavy block when you go to crops. All you need is your stamp set and you are good to go.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention. The stamps were designed to compliment the glimmer screens. What that means if you can use your mist and screen to create and image and then stamp on top of it to add all the fine details. Check out the layout below for a better idea of what I mean. I have to say it again, GENIUS!!

I made this little tag you see here at the Tattered Angels booth. I was also fortunate enough to be caught wearing it and won a set of Halloween Glimmer Screens. WOOT!

This next tag was made with another of the new releases: Chip Tiles. They are extra sturdy chipboard pieces covered in a cream, embossed surface perfect for misting and inking. These are also much larger than you think.

This layout was the make and take on day two. Everyday they had a different make and take. This is where I got to try out one the stamps. You can really get a feel for the size here. That fancy scroll/heart design is a stamp and this is a full 12 x 12 size layout. WOW! The bingo card you see on this page is also a new release. They come in a variety of themes.

I also took one of the Tattered Angels classes while in Orlando. This was far and above the most technique rich class I've ever attended. It was exactly what I had hoped for and more. The class kit was overflowing with product from both Tattered Angels and Graphic 45. A real treat!!

This is a photo from the Tattered Angels blog. I'm still working on my album!
So there you have it. Tattered Angels, a company on the move. I can't wait for these products to hit the shelves.

Sounds like you had fun and learned a lot!

Since you're obviously a fan of TA, maybe you can point me in the right direction for some on-line ideas and tutorials for glimmer mist? I'm thinking of teaching a class at my LSS, and I want to show more than just how I've been using it myself...
