Vegas Photos

We stayed here at the Mirage. By day there was a fountain out front of the hotel that was transformed into a volcano at night.

We braved the glass elevator up to the top of the "Eiffel Tower" (around 500 feet) and took in the sights...the strip at night and one of my favourites, the fountains at the Bellagio.

On my birthday, we took a helicopter tour out to the Grand Canyon. Here is an aerial shot of the Hoover dam and a photo taken inside the canyon where we landed. The ravens are perched on top of the picnic area where we had lunch, hoping for a few crumbs.

I took this photo of some wild poppies growing in the desert. The photo is deceiving as I framed them next to a lone plant of some sort that makes it look like a lush area...which it totally is not.

On Sunday we went to the Nascar race. This is a photo of a few of the MANY tires we saw in the pit before the race. Though I am not a Nascar fan, it was incredible to experience the race from the stands.
